After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival\, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom. The King of Queens\, which premiered in 1998\, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing\, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in\, and executive produced The Crew\, a sitcom set in the world of NASCAR and is currently developing a single camera comedy (both for Netflix). James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff\, a one hour special for Comedy Central.

A variety of delicious locally sourced food\, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks\, and performer merchandise is available at the Eileen DeVries Concessions Center. \nPerforming to critical acclaim for over 20 years and over 3\,000 shows\, Dark Star Orchestra continues the live Grateful Dead experience. Shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of seven fine musicians. The band performs based on a set list from the Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or programs a unique one using their catalog\, allowing fans young and old to share in the experience. DSO offers a continually evolving artistic outlet. Honoring bands and fans\, they seek each era’s unique style and sound while presenting informed improvisations. They encapsulate the Grateful Dead energy and experience. It’s about a sense of familiarity\, a feeling that grabs listeners and takes over\, contagious energy. As the centerpiece of this free event\, kids age 10 and younger are invited to learn and practice bike-handling skills and safety through fun stations staffed by officers from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office and other local police departments. Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital’s Injury Prevention Program will be on hand to give away and properly fit helmets\, while other volunteers will perform basic bike safety checks before kids try the rodeo course. \nAll kids must bring their own bikes and wear a helmet to participate in the rodeo\, and they must have a parent or guardian present to either receive a free helmet or ride the course.
