Vice President, Client and Community Relations Director

PNC Bank

For the past 14 years, Alexis Reame has used her career in corporate philanthropy and countless hours volunteering to make a positive impact in West Michigan.

At PNC Bank, Reame zeroes in on the needs of the community and opportunities for PNC to support via its philanthropic pillars.

One of these methods is through promoting programs that create access to the arts and education for underserved families and children.

Recently, she led PNC’s support of the Daniel Tiger Exhibit at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, bringing over 70 classrooms in Grand Rapids to see the exhibit without any cost to the students or school.

“My dad spent much of his childhood working as a migrant farm worker in Reese, a farming community outside of Saginaw,” Reame said. “He instilled in me at an early age that education was the key to success.”

Reame earned the Bert Price Diversity Scholarship, allowing her to attend Grand Valley State University at no cost to her or her family. The opportunity catapulted her into a successful career that has included roles at her alma mater, the Grand Rapids Chamber, Lake Michigan Credit Union, and her current role at PNC Bank.

“Because a philanthropist paved the way for me to have access to an excellent education, I have dedicated much of my time and career in corporate philanthropy to ensuring others have the same opportunity,” she said.

In addition to her professional work, Reame serves on the boards of Cherry Health Foundation, Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation, Create Great Leaders Council (board chair) and Somos Comunidad – a committee of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation that raises funds to support Latino-facing initiatives.

She also serves on the Great Start Collaborative coalition and Talent First Early Childhood working group to remove barriers to early childhood education and is a mentor in the Cook Leadership Academy at Grand Valley State University.
