Associate Director of Talent Development
West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Rocío Moreno became a teen mom at 17 and refused to let that define her limits. Navigating motherhood, education, and responsibility at a young age, she discovered that lived experience would become her greatest strength, not a barrier, but a bridge to understanding and serving others more authentically.

Her path into leadership was not traditional, but it has always been intentional. As Associate Director of Talent Development at the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, she leads LEADeres and Futuro Leaders, programs designed to uplift Latino professionals and emerging leaders through mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful connection. One of her most impactful contributions has been designing and implementing the mentoring component of the Futuro Leaders Fellowship, creating structured pathways that connect individuals with leaders who can guide and open doors for them.

Before this role, she spent nearly a decade at Affinity Mentoring, ultimately serving as Executive Director,  building spaces where young people felt supported, safe, and capable of reaching their potential.

She also serves on the Board of Community Food Club GR, an organization especially meaningful to her from personal experience.

For Rocío, leadership is not about titles. It is about showing up for the people who need it most and helping them walk through every door with confidence.

“She didn’t let her story define her ceiling | she used it to raise someone else’s floor.”
